The timeline and event types

Every event carries a type. The type sets its colour, where it shows up, and whether it counts for attendance — so it's worth ten minutes on the types before you add fifty events.

WhereSettingsOperationsEvent types

The built-in types can be renamed and recoloured — if your org calls it rehearsal, call it that.
You can add your own, and remove ones you'll never use.
Colour is doing real work here: a timeline you can read at a glance is one where the categories are visually distinct.
