Org admins
An org admin isn't a role. It's a mark on someone's membership that gives every permission in that org, whatever roles they hold.
Org settings, Roster, Treasury… can be handed to any role.
Whoever creates the org at /create is its first org admin. It's per org: an admin of one chapter is an ordinary member of another unless they're an admin there too.
Only an org admin can
- Run billing — plans, cards, cancelling.
- Delete the org.
- Turn calendar subscriptions on or off.
Everything else about the org's setup — pages, vocabulary, thresholds, member fields, custom metrics, event types, the logo, the Instagram handle, the sidebar order and the dashboard layout — belongs to the Org settings permission, which you can give to a role.
Making another org admin needs us
There's no button for an org admin to make someone else an admin — that switch is only available to ChaptOS staff right now. Write to us and say who should be one.
The last admin can't leave
The last org admin can't leave the org or delete their account. Get a second admin first, or delete the org.
